Slowing Down & Savoring the Moments

“Be still and know that I am God.” ~Psalm 46:10a

Well, it’s officially November. November 2nd to be exact. That means that the Holidays are literally right around the corner. There’s always something really special about this time of the year. The cool breeze, beautiful colors, and time to gather with family and be thankful for all that God has blessed us with.

But somehow through time the holidays have transformed from a time of thanksgiving and celebrating to a time of greed and busyness. We seem to be so preoccupied about having to “perfect” day that we forget to enjoy it. What if this year we slowed down and savored the moments?

God even reminds us to rest. To go to Him and let Him carry our burdens. Throughout the upcoming season of busyness, I encourage you to remember to be still and let God show you what is really important and when you just need to sit back and enjoy the blessings that He has given you.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

Until next time,

Bailey Sue
