This week I’m thankful for all the small things! Those little things that we often overlook in the day-to-dayness that is life.

The Cooler Temperatures

It’s getting cooler out!! We were able to sleep with the windows open a couple of days last week and it was wonderful! The nights are not only getting darker earlier (🙌) they’re also getting cooler! What’s really nice though is that the days are still warm but not hot! I can wear long pants and not feel like I’m melting and I’m even starting to take a jacket when I leave the house!! Mom told me earlier that the leaves on the big Maple tree out front are just starting to change… 🤗

Pumpkin Spice…Everything!

Yeah, I’m one of those people! I’m always eager to try a new pumpkin recipe and love when they turn out! Last Saturday, I made Pioneer Woman’s Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal…and everyone loved it! Dad’s not usually a big fan of oatmeal but even he had seconds! I enjoy a cup of coffee with Pumpkin Spice Creamer, and of course all the pumpkin (and sometimes apple) scented candles!

Crockpot Season is Finally Here!!

There are so many reasons why I love this time of the year, but crockpots are one of them! It’s officially Soup Season and that means that Suppers have become SO MUCH easier! Throw ingredients in a crockpot and cook! Simple, easy, and delicious! Just this week we cooked a roast in the Crockpot and then a couple of days later I picked the rest of the meat off the bone and turned it into vegetable soup!

I think that every once and while it’s good to take a step back and acknowledge all the tiny ways that we’ve been blessed. Sure God is in the big moments, but He’s also in small moments that are so easy to overlook…

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
~James 1:17

Until next time,

Bailey Sue

P.S. My e-book “Finding True Love: A 14 day devotional exploring the deep love that God has for us” is only 99¢ for just a little while longer. Have you gotten your copy yet? It’s a great reminder of God’s love for us when everything around us feels so uncertain!
