Still Good…

Bradley in his Jeep

I’ve been spending some time this week working on a couple of big projects that I’m really excited about, but it’s not time to unveil them just yet…I’ve always been a bit of a complainer especially when things don’t go as I think they should. But something that I’m learning is that there is always “plenty to be thankful for”. And this week is no exception!

Bradley bought a Jeep at the end of July. The check engine light was on when he test drove it. The dealership said that if he still wanted the vehicle, they’d find the problem and fix it. Every time the jeep would leave the dealership after getting something repaired within 24 hours the light would turn back on. But FINALLY, after 2 months the jeep is FIXED and back in the driveway with the check engine light OFF–STILL!! 🤞

In other news, it’s getting chillier out!! And you know what that means, don’t you? Fires in the fireplace! A few mornings this week we’ve had to start a fire in the fireplace to take the chill off the house. It doesn’t last longer than a few hours but it’s just a little taste of what’s to come an I couldn’t be more excited!

Bradley is gearing up for his A Term Finals this coming week and Jo Jo is still plugging away with her online classes. Not only did we survive this crazy season but we’re learning to thrive! We’ve got a good schedule in place enabling everyone to get done what they need to even with limiting our internet access! We have the cheap internet and we’ve found that it can get a little glitchy if everyone’s on it at the same time. But we’ve found a way to work with the somewhat glitchy internet and make the best of it! And it’s working! The good thing is that once Bradley starts B Term in the next couple of weeks the schedule will pretty much STAY THE SAME!! I never thought virtual school could be a good thing, but it’s actually better!! (:

Something that is really hitting home for me in the last week or so is just how much I’m letting a couple of bad things in life dominate my thinking and therefore my attitude. Sure, those couple of things are not necessarily pleasant, and they do make me concerned but I don’t have to give them control over my life. Life IS good. There IS good surrounding me. And if I’m being honest, God answered a prayer this week that I thought for sure was a big fat no with a YES! I just need to keep reminding myself that God IS good and that He IS STILL here and ACTIVE in my life.

Until next time,
Bailey Sue
