Ducky

Lessons from a Duck…

**This is a not the Mama duck from this morning…Just a picture of a Mama duck that I took last year(ish).**

We had a bit of an interesting morning today… After letting Trinity out for a few minutes JoJo suddenly heard quacking. Lo and behold the bird dog was chasing around some little ducklings! :0 We think that she was just trying to play with them because one of them got a bump on the head with one of Trinity’s clodhopper paws just like Trinity does to Oreo when she wants to play. (We believe that it was unharmed but severely terrified).

In all of the hubbub the Mama duck and her three ducklings got separated. We were a little concerned about the ducklings being separated from their Mama but when we looked it up online, Google said that Mama ducks will come back for their ducklings if they get separated.

This reminded me of several things… How Jesus promises to come back for us and that He’s got a place prepared for us (John 14:1-3). Even though we sometimes feel separated from God He’s always right there with us (Romans 8:38-39).

And the one that I liked best was the reminder that God will come thru. Even though it looks like we’re surrounded by giants that chase us at every turn and sometimes feel like their hitting us upside the head just because they can and we run to God and run to safety all while wondering WHY that had to happen to us today. We KNOW that God is there and He loves us and eventually, in His time everything will be made right.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”
**Ecclesiastes 3:11
