Well hello there! I hope that ya’ll have had a great week! This week feels like we’ve waited and planned for it for months and it’s finally over! Which leads me to my first blessing…
1) WE DID IT!
As we were discussing blessings today the Dora the Explorer song “We Did It” came to mind. Like many families ours has been very busy since last Fall. Different members of the family have completed the Fire Academy, EMT school, Prom, 2 art galleries, publishing a book, working on highschool curriculum, planning for Spring projects and a garden, etc. in addition to the normal-everyday work of living. It seems like we haven’t really stopped since last Fall.
We worked together and helped each other where we could. Helping study, setting up photoshoots, driving back and forth to different events, picking out Prom dresses, and taking on extra chores. Now we can sit back and say, “WE DID IT”!
2) HE PASSED!!
This past Thursday we managed to be be dressed and out of the house by 7:30 AM and on the road to Indiana. We made it there a little after 8 so that Bradley could take the National Registry test and he found out a few hours later that HE PASSED!
So, he’s officially a Level 2 Firefighter and an EMT and he graduates highschool in about 2 weeks!
To be honest, as much as Mom hates driving–I get it honestly–she even admitted that the drive was nice considering! I’m thankful that I got a few minutes to just chill. I was able to read some of a pleasure book and even got a cat nap on the way home! (:
3) People willing to offer help and advice
Earlier this week while working the polls for our local election Daddy and I were placed in a different location with brand new people! (The people that we had worked with almost every other election we’ve worked and can’t wait to be back with in the Fall didn’t have anything on the ballot). I happened to meet a really nice lady that ended up having a background in advertising and demographics. Ya’ll this is a HUGE answer to prayer! She spent a good hour at least looking at my set up and listening to me tell her what I plan on doing and what I have done and then offered me advice on how to make what I already have better!
I’ve already begun working on some of this and can’t wait to get all my ducks not only in the same pond (hopefully facing upright), and all lined up so that I can share some of this with you in the coming months! I’m thankful that there’s people out there that are willing to help others just to help them!
What are some of the blessings that you have noticed in your life this past week? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below!
Until next time,
Bailey Sue
