I’ve slowly been reminded time and again that life is full of seasons and that one day I’ll miss the days that I get to live today. The normal, mundane and sometimes chaotic days…
But when I take a look back at the week there’s so many blessings and reminders of the goodness of God.
Like Sunday, I’ve always known that our pets are spoiled; I just don’t always realize the extent. Calico is a very vocal cat. She meows when she needs food, water, or just wants to be held. Sunday as I was making breakfast she started “talking a mile a minute”. Turns out she wanted some cream cheese. So, I gave her a little off the knife on a napkin. I’m not sure what’s more comical the fact that the cat asked for cream cheese, that I gave her some, or that I gave it to her on a napkin??🤷♀️
Bradley was working on Sunday. So, after Church we stopped by the station to switch out vehicles. Normally when we switch the vehicles Bradley’s either out on a run or chooses to stay inside with the guys. On Sunday HE CAME OUT TO SAY “HI”! With a radio and everything!! (: Mom was quick enough to snap a photo–thankfully! And then we went over to the neighbor’s house to pick up another truck load of wood. Here in a couple of weeks we’ll be borrowing a log splitter and having a splitting party one Saturday in October. I’m actually quite curious to see how many wood racks we’ll have full by the time we get caught up.
We also put up what is most likely the last of the tomatoes earlier this week as well. We switched gears a little and started making Pasta/Pizza sauce because we had so many jars of Salsa! I will say though that for as many tomatoes that we got this year I’m really not tired of them. One of the things that I’m really going to miss is egg sandwiches…Fried eggs, cheese, mayonnaise, spinach, and tomato all between two slices of whole wheat bread!!
For the past month I’ve noticed that there’s been a few issues with one of my accounts. I should have received a payment and it just wasn’t coming. When the money was finally deposited it was significantly over the amount that it should have been. I’ve been calling Customer Service pretty much weekly to get this whole thing sorted out. As I made another call today I realized (with the help of the very kind, courteous, and patient customer service agent) that I hadn’t actually received a payment earlier in the year (even though I thought I had). Turns out that the company paid what was due and a little extra that they won’t be taking back.
I share this with you to remind you that even though it doesn’t look or feel like God is moving in your life HE IS! He’s providing and answering prayers in ways that we just don’t know the full extent of (like I said, I pay close attention to what goes on and I didn’t realize that I didn’t get a payment months ago). Sometimes when He’s asking us to wait it’s because He’s sorting things out, putting people in place, and orchestrating things as only He can! It’s our job to be PATIENT and LET GO to LET HIM DO WHAT ONLY HE CAN!! TRUSTING THAT IF HE CAN PROVIDE FOR THIS–He can totally provide for those other things that we’ve been praying and hoping for that just don’t seem to be on the horizon.
“Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.”
~Isaiah 43:18

Have a great weekend!
Until next time,
