Today’s November 1st. I have no idea how we got here SO fast but I’m excited! This month has so many fun things planned. Festive outings, gatherings of friends and family, Thanksgiving, and CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!

Yes, I am one of those people that pulls out Christmas music as soon as possible. And, no I haven’t forgotten about Thanksgiving I just prefer to extend the jolliness of Christmas as long as possible…

Since we’re pulling out all the Christmas music today I thought I’d share with you a few of the albums/songs I’m looking forward to hearing the most.

–Bing Crosby…I grew up listening to him every single Christmas and I still get excited every time I hear his voice on the radio.  Aside from my Dad he’s the only person whose version of “White Christmas” I LOVE. My favorite album was one that we found last year…“Bing Crosby Christmas Classics”. I love this in particular because it contains a good mix of fast and slow songs…It’s great to play while you’re working or decorating.

–Jim Nabors, Andy Williams, Perry Como and the rest of the vinyl Christmas albums! Earlier this year my Great Aunt and Uncle came over from Indiana and brought several bundles of old vinyl albums with them! There were a few Christmas ones in the mix as well…Including Jim Nabors “Christmas Album”. If his name sound familiar you’ve probably heard of him. He plays Gomer Pyle on “The Andy Griffith Show” and “Gomer Pyle: USMC“.  But don’t worry he sounds amazing on these albums…nothing like Gomer Pyle.

–Those songs that are Christmas-y but not the traditional carols. Yes, I know a traditionalist saying she likes non traditional Christmas songs. But it’s true. A few of my favorites are “Light a Candle” by Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, Doug Anderson “Back Porch Christmas” (This song almost perfectly describes Christmas with my Mom’s side of the family), and Mandisa’s “Somebody’s Angel”.

Of course I have a lot more but we’d be here all day if I were to list all of them so for now we’ll stick with these ones. I’m always open for new Christmas music suggestions…I’d love if you’d leave a few of your favorite Christmas songs in the comments!

Earlier this week we were out running some errands while Bradley was working. While on our way home we noticed that there was a prevention car in the other lane a few cars back and Bradley was driving it! JoJo and I then decided to try to get a picture of this…

It was a nice day and the windows of the van were down. I was sitting in the passenger seat and as I have often done to get photos I readjusted and leaned forward in seat and got closer to the window. I completely FORGOT that the window was actually open and almost stuck my head out the window while there were other cars driving in the other lane to get a picture. I’m sure the cars in the other lane thought that I was crazy…but then again that’s nothing new. Thankfully no one was injured and I didn’t notice any odd looks. I never got a photo and Bradley didn’t even see us!

Yesterday was my Mom’s Birthday. On his way home from work Daddy stopped and picked up a couple of cards. One of them he handed to me so that I could make sure us kids signed it. My goal was to sign it and then leave it somewhere where Bradley and JoJo could sign it but Mom wouldn’t know. She does this every year on our Birthdays. She fills it out and signs for her and Dad and then has the other children sign it. Little did I know that Bradley and JoJo would take some creative licensing…making ME look like the BAD child!!!

Note to self: Even though were all adults don’t leave them alone to fill out a card😂🤣

What are some of the blessings that you’ve noticed in your life this past week? I’d love if you’d share some in the comments below! Have a great weekend!

Until next time,

Bailey Sue
