Fresh Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies

Our Daily Blessings!

Hey Y’all! I hope that you’ve had a good week. This week has been really busy but good all the same. Let’s dive right on into some of this week’s blessings.

1) The stink bug NOT crawling on my face

Yes, you read that correctly. On Sunday night we sang the final song and were dismissed. Seconds later there’s a gentleman sitting behind me that calls my name. I turn around and he tells me to SLOWLY take my hat off. As I do so he informs me that there was a stink bug hanging out on my hat most of the service!! How embarrassing is that!?! He said that he kept waiting on the bug to make his way around to my face just to see how composed I would be. I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t be very composed if that happened. So, I’m very thankful that he stayed on the back of my hat and out of sight until we killed him. At least everyone got a good laugh! Have you had anything similar happen to you? If so, I’d love for you to tell me about it in the comments below!

2) Being able to enjoy the nice weather

Ironically it’s raining really heavily as I write this, but the rest of the week was filled with gorgeous weather. I was able to sit on the swing a couple of times this week and just be. I even got in some bonding time with Trinity! (: Evidently she likes swings. One of the things that amazes me living out in the country is the amount of dandelions. They are EVERYWHERE. Which is not so good for my allergies. But at least they’re bright and cheery. I loved having the windows open again and just letting the cool breeze blow through the house. There’s a couple of spots throughout the house where you can just stand and you get to feel the wonderful breeze just blow over you. Trust me, it feels so good! (:

3) Fresh Baked CookiesFresh Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies I decided to bake some cookies for our upcoming trip. One of our favorites is chocolate chip. After a few years of trying to make them like my Great Grandma, I think I have finally succeeded!! We have found that we like them better with the mini chocolate chips–it seems to spread the chocolate out if you have mini chips as opposed to the larger ones. Almost every bite contains chocolate. (: What is your favorite kind of cookie? I’d love for you to tell me in the comments below! I love trying new recipes!

What are some of the daily blessings that you have noticed in your life this past week? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below!

Have a great weekend! (:

Until next time,

Bailey Sue
