Our Daily Blessings

“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!”

~1 Chronicles 16:34

Wow, I can’t believe that it’s almost Halloween. Time has really flown. Here’s a few of the daily blessings that I’ve noticed this past week.

1: Catching a squirrel in the act

We decided to plant a salsa garden and some corn this past summer but noticed that the squirrels seem to be enjoying it more than we have. There were several eaten corn cobs under the tree and our picnic table was covered with little bits of tomato peel. They had been helping themselves to the corn and ended up eating every ear! We were shocked at their desire to have dinner at the table. We had never managed to catch the naughty squirrels in the act until Tuesday. Billie Jo and I were headed outside to hang a load of laundry and she started banging on the window. I looked up and this little guy was eating a tomato while sitting at the table. (:

2: The inspection on the new house

We also had the new house inspected this week which means that we are one step closer to actually moving. Everything looks pretty good. I think that we’re just waiting on an appraisal and a closing date.

 3: Leaves changing

I love Fall! It’s my favorite time of the year. I love wearing the boots, sweaters, and sweatshirts! I love the fact that it’s not too hot and not too cold. It’s just right and oh-so-pretty! After a warm spell the weather has grown colder and I’ve noticed that the leaves are starting to change! I think it’s neat that we never know what color each of the trees is going to be but we know that in the end they’re going to be beautiful!

4: A game of catch with the family

The truth is I really don’t like sports-even a simple game of catch.  I don’t have very good aim and have to really think before I throw anything to make sure that it ends up somewhere near the inteneded recipient. But while Bradley was out grilling dinner the other day I decided to give it a try. Thankfully he was extremely patient and helped me learn how to throw the football a little better. As we kept playing (Daddy and Jojo joined us as well) I actually got a little better and I had a good time too! (:

What are some blessings you have noticed in your life this past week? I would love for you to share them in the comments bleow! Have a great weekend!!

Unitl next time,
