Chicken Coop with name

Our Daily Blessings! (:

Ladies and Gentleman! Welcome to your Friday!

I hope that you’ve had a really good week. This week has been full of good people, fun times, lessons learned, and of course good food. So let’s dive in and take a look at some of this week’s blessings! Are you ready? Let’s go!

1) The Chickens are on the way!!

One of the things that we’ve been looking forward to this year is getting some chickens…Now, that convention season is behind us and we’re hopefully going to be home more we can start working around the house more. Doing some redecorating on the inside and doing some clean up and planting on the outside.

Our neighbor decided that he no longer was able or wanted to keep raising hens. So, he graciously gave us everything that he had to care for the chickens and then some. So now, all that we need to buy are the chickens, food, and paint so that the coop matches the shed…I think that that’s going to be one of this weekend’s projects!

2) Working the Polls

When I turned 18 and could vote I also decided to work the polls. My cousin had done it a year or so before and it sounded pretty interesting. Little did I know that I’d still be doing it 3 years later. As I’ve continued to help in our Nation’s election process time and again I’ve found that I really do enjoy it. Sure, the day is long but I love getting to know some of these people and seeing some old friends. (: I really enjoy being able to help my fellow citizens fulfill their Constitutional freedom and obligation. I like seeing how the people interact and hearing some of their stories…I am thankful not only for the freedom that I have here in America to have my voice and my opinion be heard and those that fight to protect the voice that we all have. But also to be able to have a part in helping others voices be heard.

3) Everyone staying safe during the fire

Bradley, my not-so-little brother, is a firefighter in training. One of the things that he does is run with a crew. So every 6th day he goes to the station and job shadows/helps the crew on duty. This past Wednesday he responded to his very first fire. I’m thankful that everyone is safe (firefighters and apartment occupants included) and that Bradley is still in training. That means that currently he is restricted to remain outside the fire. (:

What are some of the blessings that you’ve noticed in your life this past week? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below! I hope that ya’ll have a great weekend!

Until next time,

Bailey Sue
