Hello and welcome to your Friday! It’s been really busy around here the past couple of weeks! But today, I’m back with a few new blessings, enjoy! (:
1) Finding a Penny and being reminded
While out shopping on Monday I happened to look down while walking across the parking lot (ya know, just to make sure I wouldn’t randomly trip over anything) and found a penny! (: Now, I don’t know about you but finding money in a parking lot is always fun. And secondly, I was reminded of an old song. Bing Croby’s “Pennies from Heaven”. The song reminds me that the best things in life are free and that if we just take a second to think about it; we’re blessed thousands of teeny-tiny ways each day! A new sunrise in the morning, seeing the moon each night and a blue sky kind of day. The fact that the song is sung by Bing Crosby just makes it a little bit better. (;
2) A Visit with the Grandparents!
On Wednesday, our Grandparents decided to come down for a visit since we hadn’t seen them since Christmas…We figured seven months was just a little too long. We spent the afternoon and evening just chatting and catching up…We laughed, told stories, visited the chickens, and admired hand-me-down clothes and new-to-us knickknacks. We laughed at the fact that I don’t own a pair of Capri’s simply because I can’t find any that fit my short legs that I actually like on my person. Usually, they look like I’m attempting to wear Capri’s as pants. We ended the night by eating dinner at Dairy Queen and took them to our new-to-us ice-cream place to celebrate Jr and JoJo’s Birthday! It was a good day! 🙂
3) Daddy’s on Vacation!
This week has obviously been a little different… I found out late last night that Daddy wasn’t going to be going into work this morning… (: So, I’m thankful that I finally got the foresight to be able to type these blessings up as they happen as opposed to stressfully trying to type them out at 5:00 in the afternoon. I’m thankful that Dad has the time that he can take off and that even though it’s been a very different week from the normal it’s been good. Very good.
Life goes by oh-so-fast. I think it’s good every once in a while to be reminded of that. So that hopefully we’ll put the devices down and start spending time with the ones that we love…I’m thankful that I’ve gotten to do that this week… What are some of the blessings that you’ve noticed in your life this past week? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below!
Have a great weekend!
Until next time,
