I start this Friday being very thankful for all of my blessings this week. I’ve really seen God move in some pretty big ways the past couple of weeks and I’m gaining a sense of peace and confidence about the path that He has me on. So, without further ado here’s a few of this week’s blessings!
1) A good week adjusting to the new schedule
On Tuesday Bradley started taking some of his firefighter classes at the Fire Academy. So, everyone’s schedule was a little different adjusting to his new routine. And I must say, it’s not been too bad. I’m thankful that although it’s been busy we’re still able to keep up with the regular chores and even though we’re tired we still feel like we can function….And let me add that it’s been cloudy/rainy 95% of the week and I’ve still been able to get quite a few things accomplished!! Woot, woot! (:
2) Clarity and Guidance from God
About a month ago God started opening several doors in my life and showing me about the great potential that was right in front of me. Through spending time in His Word, the prayers of myself and others, and the wisdom of those older and wiser I’ve been able to clearly see the path that God wants me to take. Not all the bumps are worked out yet, (and they probably never will be, but that’s okay), but I do have a clearer understanding of the path forward and I’ve been able to confidently say “Yes!” to some opportunities and “No.” to others. All of which leads me to my final blessing of the day….
3) An opportunity to have some of my Nature/Still life Images displayed locally!!
Yeah, you read that right! Remember those doors God has been opening? This was one of those doors I was talking about. About a month ago Mom encouraged me to call the local Art Institute and see if they had anything for local or amateur artists. They didn’t but gave me a number of another local organization that did. So, I called. I was told that I was a few days past the deadline for their Holiday Gift Gallery; but to go ahead and send an email and the gentleman I was speaking with would see if he could get my work before the committee…
Y’ALL, I GOT IN!!!
So, since then I’ve been gathering information about the event and it looks to be like an adult version of an elementary school child’s Santa Shop . My work will be displayed there and open to the public for purchase starting in Mid-November through December 23! I’ve also been trying to sift through my very disorganized photos and try to figure out which pictures to include on what product and how many to make…I’m just starting to make a dent–thankfully!
Looking back I can’t help but SEE God so intricately involved in this opportunity and be thankful for what He has done.
What are some of the blessing that you’ve noticed in your life this past week? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below! Have a great weekend! (:
Until next time,
Bailey Sue
