Hello, sorry for not posting on Friday. I had something more important come up…My Grandparents decided to come for a quick visit! (: So, I spent the day chatting with them and then we went out for supper…Since it’s officially November we can now start listening to Christmas music and that makes me really happy! (: I’d love to hear what your favorite Christmas song or album is. I’m always looking for something new to add to the collection, so let me know in the comments below! Now, before I get too carried away with that let’s dive into our blessings!
1) Parking lot awesomeness…
So, the other day while going to get some of my camera equipment looked at we stopped at Daddy’s work to pick him up. Mom moved the van up a row or two that way Daddy didn’t have to walk as far and ended up unintentionally parking next to his boss… Then his boss comes out gets in his car and CALLS DADDY ON HIS BLUE TOOTH. (: So, we’re sitting in the car patiently waiting on Dad while listening to his boss tell him to hurry up and get out there because you “don’t keep the wife waiting” and Daddy’s “five more minutes” is usually much closer to 30…But since he called on blue tooth with the window down we could hear every word of their conversation like we were inside the car. (: Mom had to bite her lip to keep from laughing and Jojo and I didn’t even try…We were just back there trying not to laugh too loud…And thankfully there is nothing wrong with my camera… (:
2) Dropping off my Art Gallery Stuff.
Remember back in the Summer I told y’all about this Art Gallery that I got into? Well, I finally got to drop my work off on today. And you know what, I’m so thankful for the opportunity, the help and support of my family and the reassurance that I’m on the right path! (: I’m honestly pretty excited to see just where this opportunity leads and to see how God is working. He’s already opened SO. MANY. DOORS. this year, and I can’t wait to see what He’s going to do now! (:
3) Power outage fun
I really don’t know what it is about this house: the speed limit on the roads, the curvy roads, or just lots of irresponsible drivers but our electric goes out A LOT. Just this past Saturday it went out about 1pm and didn’t come back on until about 11pm.
But we made the best of it and had some fun along the way. We made Sausage gravy and biscuits using our Coleman stove and grill. The biscuits ended up being flame baked when the grease on the grill caught fire, but they actually tasted pretty good considering. I colored a few coloring pages, listened to some Adventures in Odyssey episodes using a battery-powered CD player, and even got to take a nap.
Then we hooked up the generator so that we could all get ready for church the next day and made a new soup for dinner and lit all the oil lamps and candles. And then the next morning when we got up to go to church we suddenly didn’t have ANY water. So after a 30 minute investigation we had the problem fixed AND got to church ON TIME taking 2 vehicles!! Ya’ll THAT is one for the books! (:
What are some of the blessings that you’ve noticed in your life this past week? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below! Have a great weekend!
Until next time,
Bailey Sue
