Well hello there! I hope that y’all have been able to stay warm and toasty this past week as most of the Nation has been dealing with the dreaded Polar Vortex. Aside from the bitterly, frigid cold this week has been amazing! Here’s a few blessings that I’d like to share with you.
1) Warm house/fireplace/lots of cut wood
I’m thankful that we have a warm house, a toasty fireplace and lots of wood cut. We cut a bunch in the Spring, Summer, and Fall and had been using that since we started the fireplace last Fall. Here recently though the temperatures allowed us to be able to cut even more. I’m thankful that we were able to go out and do that considering just how cold it got. We also haven’t run out of cut wood yet which I also consider a blessing.
Even though we’ve had a good dose of Winter weather recently I’m also glad that our power hasn’t gone out or the pipes haven’t frozen. Believe me when I say that if we still lived in the other house I’d be telling a vastly different story right now. Those pipes froze when it got to be about freezing and I remember several occasions trying to thaw them out with space heaters and the blow dryer.
2) Getting Published! (:

(: I’m pretty happy about this one too. I had been thinking about writing a devotional for the month of February for a year or two; and this year I finally got the courage to pursue it!
So, I started writing and taking pictures and in all honesty, I still can’t believe how it all came together! It really felt like it was meant to be. Yes, I was terrified but with the help of God I was able to push through that fear and get the book published only 2 days later than I had originally planned! And the cherry on top? Once you upload the manuscript it can take up to 72 hours to be approved; mine received approval in about 5. I firmly believe that God was involved in that one! He even kept me distracted…my parents wanted me to bake brownies and cookies. (:
The book is called “Finding True Love: A 14 day devotional exploring the deep love that God has for us!” and it’s available as an E-book on Amazon HERE.
3) Medical Guinea Pigs…

For Christmas Bradley and Billie Jo got stethoscopes. Bradley’s currently enrolled in the local EMT program and JoJo will be going to school to be a Vet Tech once she graduates in 2020. Here lately JoJo’s been using hers to get the animals heart rates and Bradley’s been practicing taking everyone’s blood pressure…As someone who’s very leery of a lot of medical stuff, I never thought that I’d be related to a firefighter/future EMT and a future Vet Tech. (:
What are some of the blessings that you’ve noticed in your life this past week? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below! Have a great weekend!
Until next time,
Bailey Sue
