Our Daily Blessings! (:

Well hello there! I hope that you’ve enjoyed this week and are ready to take a look back at some of this week’s blessings? Alright, let’s dive in!

1) Getting back to normal

Ya’ll I am sorry that I haven’t been writing as much as I usually do.  Late last week I got a nasty cold, and that decided to spread through a few different members of the family. Then Daddy had to work this past weekend causing everyone’s schedules to be really off…So thankfully we’re finally being able to get back to normal and the Spring colds are subsiding!

2) A successful giveaway!

Pretty much since I started this business I’ve wanted to do a giveaway. I always thought that they looked like so much fun. Usually though I’ll set out to do something and lo and behold some sort of tech issue will occur. This was no exception but I’m very thankful that I was able to get it figured out and it didn’t even effect the giveaway once I figured out what steps I was skipping. That part went off without a hitch! I was finally able to wrap things up today! If you didn’t see my Facebook or Instagram post announcing the winner you can see that HERE.

And don’t forget that for those of you subscribed to my email list there’s a very special announcement coming up THIS MONDAY (April 15th)! So be sure to subscribe! You can subscribe using the form at the bottom of this post here if you haven’t already subscribed.

3) Building a Fire

Usually I’m not a big fan of working outdoors. Coordination was not a gift that I was blessed to have. I’m physically not very strong and have very poor situational awareness. So, most of the time I try to stay inside where I feel like I’m better suited. I can do way more inside the house than I can outside. Cleaning a kitchen or cooking a Thanksgiving Dinner? No big deal! Need to use a chainsaw? Ask anyone else other than me!

But the other night Bradley had his study buddies over, Mom had a hair appointment, and there was no way I could actually get out of going outside. Believe me, I tried. So, after going out and realizing that the Miter Saw was a whole lot lighter than I had thought and much much easier to move than I originally anticipated Daddy gave me a ton of cardboard boxes to burn back in the burn barrel.

“Okay, no big deal. I’ll have to use a few matches to get it going but I should be able to do this”. I thought. And you know what? I was right! Sure, I had to use half a dozen matches to get it going, but I got it started and didn’t even smother it! Turns out, I managed to keep it going quite nicely and burned up all the cardboard that was out there relatively easily all by myself! Nothing got burned and No one got hurt! That’s a HUGE WIN in my book!

I really appreciate the fact that the words “I can’t” are not found in my Dad’s vocabulary. He gently yet firmly encourages me to step out of my comfort zone when he knows that this is something that I can do. Whether it’s lifting a saw or burning cardboard if he knows that it’s something I can or should do he won’t take no (or my one million excuses) for an answer!

What are some of the blessings that you’ve noticed in your life this past week? I’d love for you to share them below! Have a great weekend!

Until next time,

Bailey Sue
