“And He said, ‘My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest’.”
~Exodus 33:14

Something that I am learning is that rest is essential. Not only do we need to make sure that we get enough sleep at night; it’s also equally important to do those things that replenish us.

In a world saturated with sadness, anger, hate, rage, and disaster it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and hopeless. That’s why it’s SO important to take time to refuel. Walk away from the T.V. and put down the phone!

Find those things in your life right now that replenish you and MAKE time in your day (even if it’s only 15 minutes) to do them.

Don’t let Satan steal your joy! Draw near to God (the only source of true rest and joy). Resist the Devil and his evil schemes and he will flee (James 4:7).

In this crazy world, DARE TO BE DIFFERENT! Take some time each day and be ELECTRONIC FREE. (remember that it will be there when you get back) and fill yourself up. Spend some time with God, read a book, get outside. Do something, anything to break away from all the negativity the world continually throws at us! Get away for just a few minutes and rest!

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.”
~Philippians 4:8
