For a while there we wondered if Spring would ever get here. It was cold and rainy for months…Though it was March we were still wearing thick sweaters and warm socks; alternating using the fireplace and the furnace. And then April came. Easter was later this year and cold. The Monday AFTER Easter we had a good inch and a half of snow falling! Snow in APRIL!
Slowly but surely, it got warmer out, the mud dried up a little, and the sun started shining. Over the last week or so we’ve noticed the world coming alive again.
The Apple Trees are FULL of blossoms.
The flowers out front are starting to bloom.
Our fruit bushes are turning green.
The grass is greener and dandelions are popping up everywhere.
The Maple tree out front is getting little buds! We’re just now talking about getting our cold crops in the ground. Last Sunday we were finally able to plant our onions!
Spring is finally here and with it the hope that things are being made new…new opportunities, new plans, new growth…
‘And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”’
