Trusting Him to do His Part…

Something that I have come to realize recently is that although I may know what the Bible says and where the verses are; I don’t have the faith and trust I need as a follower of Christ.

Hebrews 11:6 says that it is “impossible to please God without faith.” Faith is defined as a “Complete trust or confidence in someone or something” (Google definitions). Since the Fall of Man we as children of God have needed faith. Faith is a crucial part of being a Christian. In fact the word belief is defined as “trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something” (Google definitions).

So, in order to believe in God we have to have faith. “Faith in what?” you may be asking. Faith in God and His Word. God’s Word is truth (Psalm 119:160). The Devil tells us lies. Lies about ourselves, our relationships, and most importantly about God. He walks the earth looking for his victims (Job 1:7, 1 Peter 5:8).

Instead of being another one of Satan’s victims we can be one of God’s victors! By believing God and trusting that His word is true for us and acting on that belief we can be changed from a victim to a victor! We can walk confidently along the path that God has chosen for our lives knowing that He is beside us each and every step of the way. Trusting that He will do His part and confidently doing ours–knowing that His grace is there to cover our every mistake.

Until next time,
