Now, 20 years later I watch the footage and documentaries differently.  It’s not just being older that makes 9/11 different. It’s the personal connection….

Independence Day weekend was good but very busy. Our local Rec center has fireworks on the third every year. In the past, I’ve taken my big “professional” camera and a tripod so that I could take pictures of the fireworks. I decided to leave it at home this year and just enjoy the show. But, I couldn’t help myself and took several photos and videos on my phone. Much to my surprise, a few of them turned out nicely! (:
