Hello and welcome to your Friday! I can’t believe that it’s already April. Time goes so fast! But there’s a lot of things to look forward to in the coming weeks. Starting our first garden in the new house, getting chickens, and maybe some more house projects. But, for now let’s just focus on the here and now. Here’s a few blessings from this past week.

1) A good way to get some exercise without spending a single penny

Alright, y’all know that I’m not a big fan of stairs. I’ve fallen down them one too many times and have even initiated new houses by taking a little tumble. But after lots of conversing, we have finally found a new exercise routine that we can do without even leaving the house. 🙂

We have two flights of stairs in this house. If we start all the way upstairs and walk all the way to the basement, around the ping-pong table and all the way back upstairs we will have walked 4 flights of stairs.

It doesn’t really take that long to complete, you don’t have to worry about the other people (or germs) at the gym, and it’s completely free. I found that once completed I ended up breaking a sweat and actually feeling like I did something to be healthier. I have a long ways to go to be where I want to be but change takes time and just taking one step (or flight) at time in the right direction is a good start!

What are some of your favorite ways to exercise for free? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below!

2) Being Reminded of the Truth

Bible and Devo_

I’ve noticed that I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and talking about the same few things lately. At the end of the conversation we come to the same conclusions. I need to pray about these situations more and be patient and let God work. I also need to actually start acting on what I know to be true.

The Bible tells us that the word of God is alive and active in our lives (Hebrew 4:12). Just being able to process the words and write them down for others to read does me NO good if I’m not going to act on them myself. Sometimes, I do a pretty good job of this; other times not so much. I need to make sure that my life aligns with the words that I say that I believe–even those parts that people don’t always see.

I was reminded of some of this today. My devotional reminded me of some of the very words that I’ve written time and time again. Of the need to be thankful for all that have been given by God. Not focusing on that ONE thing that I don’t have. I was also reminded that even on the days that seem long and never ending I have been given EVERYTHING that I need to be able to do the tasks that I’ve been given to the glory of God (Phil. 4:13, 2 Peter 1:3).

3) A comfy place to work

I am very thankful that this job has allowed me the freedom that it has. I love that even though I am almost 22 I’m still able to attend every holiday get together and trip with the family. I’m thankful that this job offers flexibility and that as time goes on I can make it as big or as small as I want.  While out of town recently I was able to work in the hotel room while watching “Fixer Upper”…

Between the busy schedule, being sick, and the rainy weather recently, I haven’t been working in my office. But I have been able to work upstairs on the comfy couch. Now, I know that I have that office and I do intend on getting back down there soon. I’m thankful that on the cold and rainy days I can work in front of the fireplace and not have to venture into the outdoors if I don’t want to.

What are some of the blessings that you have noticed in your life this week? I’d love for you to share them in the comments below!

Have a great weekend!

Until next time,

Bailey Sue
